Our team of highly trained and qualified staff includes:

Teachers, Education and Care Mentors, School Nurse, Secretary, Cook and Domestic Assistants. All posts held involve specialist induction and support programmes, CPD opportunities and thorough training with due regard to the issues of Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Additional Specialist Services

Our skilled multi-disciplinary team work closely with staff, parents and carers to meet the special needs of young people which may include complex needs, severe learning difficulties, those on the autistic spectrum (ASD)  and who may present challenge in their behavior.

Our young people will have additional opportunities to develop their well-being through access to an Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian, Person Centred Counselling and Training, Psychotherapy, Creative Adolescent Therapy.

Concepts in Education
Beacon Reach will be effectively supported in the ongoing development of the Waking Day Curriculum by a team of consultants. Established in 1998, Concepts in Education (CiE) has a proven track record of working successfully with Independent Special Schools and Children’s Homes with Education. Working in partnership with staff at Beacon Reach and having representation on the Management Board, CiE is advantaged by the skills, experience and quality of a range of Associates.
These include :
• DCSF accredited Secondary, Primary and Special School Improvement Partners.
• Local Authority Advisers • Independent Consultants
• Serving Head Teachers • Ofsted Inspectors across all phases.
• Accredited Physical Intervention Instructors who deliver BILD accredited training.
CiE’s work with us will focus upon evaluation, monitoring, advice and support so as to promote the flexible,creative and individual service for all our young people.
