Beacon Reach is a brand new, purpose built provision in Lancashire that will open on 1st February 2010. Specifically planned to meet the wide range and changing needs of young people with complex needs and severe learning difficulties, those on the autistic spectrum (ASD) and who may present challenge in their behavior. Both the residential and education accommodation have been carefully designed to be as flexible as possible so as to meet the needs of young people placed here.

SUMMARY OF A RECENT INSPECTION BY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY OF BEACON REACH
"Beacon Reach is an excellent environments that are easily accessible. Beacon Reach is at such a high standard it is already able to meet the needs of a wide and diverse population. It has the capacity to evolve further to meet the individual needs of all its pupils and staff, and through risk and moving and handling assessments appropriate interventions and adaptations will be delivered.
In view of the assessments completed Beacon Reach can deliver exceptional high standards of care and education".

Beacon Reach provides:
• Up to 52 week residential accommodation for 30 boys and girls aged 9 up to 17 who have severe and complex needs.
